A graceful lilac tree blooms in the perfumer’s yard, just outside her bedroom window. She opens the window on the first day of spring and breathes in the scented breeze as it fills her home. Each year she awaits with anticipation the delicate floralcy, fresh green notes, and fruity pear that float into her room along with the warm sun and the sweet sound of birds as nature reawakens after the long winter.
